Old San Juan Wedding Engagement Photo Shoot

We met up in Old San Juan for a little pre wedding shoot with this lovely couple. They will get married at Hotel El Convento in June and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in Old San Juan. I always take the time to meet each couple ahead of time so we can get a good sense of each others character. Then on the wedding day, we are like old friends hanging out and it takes some of the awkwardness away.

Here are some photos from a recent maternity portrait session we did near Dorado, Puerto Rico. Although it was a bit overcast and threatening rain the whole time, we used that to our advantage and really focused on getting natural and vibrant colors. A good photographer will always find a way to make it happen. Here’s some of my favorites from the shoot. The red dress she is wearing is perfect for the location and really gives the images that extra ‘pop’! Congratulations to this growing family!

Bahia St.Regis Puerto Rico – Beach Engagement Session

Surprise wedding proposals take a lot of planning, and we love to help you create the perfect moment. The secluded and serene beach at Bahia St. Regis in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico is our backdrop. I waited with my beach blanket and cooler, acting like a normal beach-goer. She even gave me a friendly wave as they walked by on what she just thought was her ordinary routine, evening walk. What she didn’t know is that I was flying a drone above them filming the whole thing and had my cooler full of cameras to capture the moment!

Couples Photo Session in Old San Juan

It’s a rare occasion when you and your partner share the same birthday. That’s exactly the case for this salsa-dancing couple from New England on vacation in Puerto Rico. We met up in Old San Juan and I showed them around to some of my favorite spots.

Taking photos in Old San Juan never gets old. It’s a photographer’s playground. While I have some “go-to” shots, I always keep a keen eye for something different and magical to happen. Each photo session is unique and it’s often these unplanned shots that end up being the best.

The beaches near Dorado are great for taking photos. I have no idea if it’s true, but I like to think the town’s name ‘Dorado’, meaning “golden” in Spanish, comes from the warm, glowing light that washes over the coast each evening.

We offer fun and easy, Covid-19 safe, outdoor photo sessions for a $275 with gallery of digital images included. Sessions last around an hour and you can choose the location of your choice or get some suggestions from us.

Sessions are casual and we use a go-with-the-flow style and documentary approach. Kids will we kids… and having nice of photos them in their natural state up being the better photos anyways. Trying to wrangle them and get them to sit still is a hope we have, and not a requirement. It always works out in the end. lol!

Palmas del Mar Session – Puerto Rico Family Photographer

I love being a family photographer in Puerto Rico. I get to go to a lot of different places and meet a lot of wonderful people. Each portrait session for me is completely different. I don’t go in with a set shot list or agenda. We had a really fun family portrait photography session with this family of six. After shooting some casual shots around the house, we changed locations and headed to the beach. This family was a lot of fun to work with and I think their fun personalities really shine through in these photos. A good portrait is always a collaboration between the subject and the artist. When my clients are laid back and ready to have fun, we all have a good time and end up creating some great images. I like to have a mix of candid, fun shots along with a few more traditional posed shots.
