Vermont Wedding at Historic Hildene- The Lincoln Family Home

Here are some of my favorites from a recent wedding in Vermont. Hildene – The Lincoln Family Home is a classy and elegant venue for a hosting a wedding in New England.

History runs through this beautiful mansion just outside Manchester, Vermont. Nestled above the mountain valley, Hildene – The Lincoln Family Home offers sweeping views of the surrounding Green Mountains. I love to photograph weddings here! It’s historic architecture,  manicured gardens and panoramic overlook offer a setting for an outdoor wedding ceremony that’s hard to beat.

The wedding party and guests were lodged at the nearby Hill Farm Inn, itself a great wedding venue, which is perfect for large groups coming in from out of town. It offers a perfect blend of luxury and rusticity. I definitely want to come back here again.

Congratulations to the newlyweds!

New Orleans Street Photography

My wife and I recently traveled to New Orleans to attend the annual New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. After living in the Caribbean for a number of years, it was interesting to note some of the similarities between the cultures. I especially was interesting in seeing the Mardi Gras Indians perform as well as some of the brass bands and second lines. No one I asked was familiar with Junkanoo in the Bahamas, even though the traditions have striking similarities. Walking around town, we gained a little glimpse on this amazing and vibrant city. It’s truly one of America’s cultural gems.
